Adrian B. Rusling      In Memoriam - 1965 - 2021

Anyone who knew Phoenix-IR, also knew Adrian, one of the co-founders of the company back in 2005. It is with great sadness that we announce his unexpected passing on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021. Over his 30 year career in Investor Relations, Adrian advised many public companies on their international IR strategies and programs. He also worked with Nasdaq since 1996 and was closely involved with the development and implementation of its international IR program for issuers. Prior to founding Phoenix-IR in 2005, Adrian was one of the principals at Kuhn Partners (now a subsidiary of Thomson Financial) for 10 years from 1994 to 2004. From 1988 to 1994 he worked for Gavin Anderson & Company in London (3 years) and in Paris (3 years). Adrian started his career in London at Paragon Communications (1986-1988), today a Weber Shandwick subsidiary.

Damian Perry - Senior Partner

Damian was one of the co-founders of Phoenix-IR in 2005. He has been an advisor to North American companies on their European investor relations programs since 1990 when he joined Kuhn Partners in Brussels. He became one of the partners in the firm (which was acquired by Carson in 1999 and subsequently by Thomson Financial in 2000). During his career, he has been instrumental in partnering with Nasdaq on their international investor conference program which started in 1996. He has worked with many leading North American companies across the market cap and sector spectra. Damian began his career as a stockbroker working for the regional UK brokerage firm Rensburg Securities and later at Prudential Securities in Brussels. He graduated in 1986 with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Bradford. Damian is a keen sailor and is currently studying for his Coastal Skipper exams.

Gill Newton - Partner

Gill has more than 25 years' experience in financial communications. During this time she has worked for Asian, European, South American, UK and North American companies from micro cap to mega cap across the sector spectra. She has worked with the Nasdaq stock market since 1996 and has been involved with its international investor programs since their inception. Gill has an in-depth knowledge of the European investment community and her relationship with this community greatly assists her in targeting appropriate investors and qualitative feedback research both pre and post meeting. Prior to co-founding Phoenix-IR, Gill was at Kuhn Partners for 13 years. She joined in 1991 and spent two years in the Brussels office before moving back to London. Gill began her investor relations career in 1988 when she joined Burson-Marsteller Financial in London. Gill has contributed to IR Magazine, The Financial Times and NIRI's IR Update. Gill is a horse rider, dog lover and loves swimming and walking in the countryside.

André Fonteyne - Partner

Prior to co-founding Phoenix-IR in 2005, André was employed at Kuhn Partners (1999 - 2004). During this time, André has advised public companies on their European investor relations programs, traveling with top management across Europe. He has worked with European and North American companies across the market cap and sector spectra. He also specializes in perception studies and feedback. Before starting in Investor Relations, André worked for two years as a financial journalist at the leading French language business daily newspaper L'Echo. André graduated with a Master's Degree in Economic History at the Free University of Brussels (ULB). He also holds a Postgraduate degree in Financial Management from the Institut Superieur de Commerce Saint-Louis (ISC) in Brussels and a CEFA (Certificate in European Financial Analysis). Andre is a history buff and particularly enjoys historical re-enactments.

Mihai Ionescu - Partner

Mihai heads up Phoenix-IR's IS operations and is responsible for the development of the various on-line platforms including the firm's investor conference manager tools and Prior to joining Phoenix-IR, Mihai completed a Ph.D in Theoretical Computer Science at Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona, Spain. He was awarded a BSc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bucharest in 2003. From 2013 to 2015 he attended an Executive MBA program at Belgium's Vlerick Business School. Mihai speaks a number of languages including Romanian, French, Spanish and English.

Rita Gonzalez

Rita has worked in the investment banking industry for over 20 years, building and maintaining relationships with the main players of the European financial community. She started her career as a macroeconomic analyst; and then moved into Sales. She has participated in several important transactions in European capital markets. She coupled this with the responsibility of Head of Corporate Access in Iberia for a major Portuguese investment bank. She was the coordinator of the highly regarded Iberian Conference held for ten years in London. Rita has worked with a wide cross-section of companies in most sectors and market caps. In 2017, given the imminent introduction of MiFID II, Rita decided to embark on a new project in Corporate Access and joined Phoenix-IR. She has been instrumental in organising a number of events for Iberian clients. Rita graduated with a BSc. (Hons) degree in Economics from Nova University, Lisbon. Rita loves to travel, read and play paddle tennis.

Alice Baley

Alice has been working in financial communication since 2007 when she joined Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux (now Kepler Cheuvreux) and then MainFirst Bank (now Stifel). She has been assisting European issuers, from small caps to large caps, meet their shareholders and potential shareholders through the organisation of hundreds of roadshows per year. She also organised a number of large investor conferences in Paris, Frankfurt and London helping European issuers meet investors from international institutions. She joined Phoenix-IR in 2016, where she has been assisting French and German companies target new investors through the Corporate Access Network platform. She has also executed targeting campaigns, organised roadshows and has worked on perception studies for French companies. Alice has lived in the UK, Ireland, Spain and is now established in France. She loves nature and adventurous, sporty trips.

Roger Low

Roger has more than 40 years' experience working with European investors, particularly in institutional equity sales. Before joining Phoenix-IR, he was head of the European Management Access team at Bear Stearns. In this role, he helped management craft their presentations for European investors and managed the team delivering successful roadshows for both U.S. and European companies. He conceived and successfully delivered the first sell-side seminar for European IROs, which went on to become an annual event. Roger received his BA from Columbia University in 1966, during which time he spent a year at The Catholic University of Chile. After serving as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, he received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has taken additional coursework in Portfolio Management at London Business School. Roger is a committed marathon runner, having run all the London, and many of the New York, marathons.
